For authors of long series, they could use it to check if they’re contradicting canon established in previous entries. I’m mostly thinking of book series with multiple authors.

Predictions attempt #1
- People, at least software developers, will maintain their own AGENTS.md file that they will carry with them between jobs.
- Companies have different ways to do things, but as time goes on I believe people will learn how they better learn and work with agents and this knowledge will translate into a set of prompts that they will keep and use everywhere. Kind of like terminal configs or competitive games configs (imagine CS2 config settings).
- GitHub will probably have some custom feature to automatically pull your AGENTS.md (linked to your account, not a specific repo) whenever you clone a project.
- I had another prediction but I forgot. I’ll update the post if I remember it.
